The Sphagnum Botanicals brand was created by three friends in collaboration with dermatologists and universities.

 

The wonderful effect of peat has been known in Scandinavia for centuries, but various researches have also confirmed its excellent results in the treatment of psoriasis.

 

Inspired by the results of research and a friend’s miraculous psoriasis recovery after the peat procedure, the decision to create Spgagnum Botanicals was made.

This shampoo is the only one that has helped my scalp psoriasis to a high degree. I have tried numerous products including dangerous coal tar shampoos, but this shampoo not only lessened the flaking to almost nothing, it also soothed my poor scalp. The itching is all but gone. The shampoo also gives my hair a healthy sheen. I am so grateful that I found it as I have been suffering with scalp psoriasis for over a year and was thinking I might not ever find relief. Adding to my original review- still using the shampoo and loving it. Be sure to follow directions and it will work amazingly well.

I've been looking for a product like this for a long time and have tried several brands such as MG217, Dermarest, Nizoral, Neutrogena, and others, but I've never seen anything like it. Within a few uses, my scalp has completely transformed, it has completely calmed down, there is no itching, and the swelling and redness has greatly decreased. I also enjoy that it has a light natural scent, unlike certain medicated shampoos. It contains a lot of natural peat mud, which makes it almost black, yet it foams and feels like regular shampoo. I am totally satisfied with this shampoo.

I bought this for my daughter who has eczema and very sensitive skin. It has been years and tons of body washes trying to find one that didn't make her itch after a shower and we have finally found it!! A little pricey but well worth it in my opinion when your kid doesn't fight you to take a shower!
